Accounting Services for Glasgow Businesses and Beyond

Whether you’re self-employed, running a limited company, building a start-up, or managing rental property, we have the right level of support for where you are right now. Clear, practical, and completely free of jargon.

From Self Assessment and bookkeeping to Making Tax Digital and landlord accounting, every service we offer is delivered by Laura and Emma directly. You always know who you’re speaking to and exactly what’s happening with your finances.

Bookkeeping and Software Support

If your financial records are not up to date, everything else becomes harder. Expenses go unclaimed. Your tax return takes longer. You lose visibility on how your business is actually performing. Good bookkeeping prevents all of that.

We offer bookkeeping support for sole traders, limited companies, start-ups, and landlords across Glasgow and the UK. Whether you want us to manage your records directly, help you set up the right cloud accounting software, or provide ongoing guidance so you can manage your own books with confidence, we will find the approach that works best for you.

We work with QuickBooks, and FreeAgent, and we will recommend the right platform for your business based on your needs and budget. FreeAgent is free with most NatWest and RBS business accounts, which makes it a straightforward starting point for many of our clients.

WE CAN HELP WITH:

Limited Company Accounting

Running a limited company means you have legal responsibilities that go beyond what a sole trader needs to manage. Annual accounts must be filed with Companies House. Corporation Tax returns must be submitted to HMRC. Directors have specific reporting obligations. And all of it has deadlines that carry penalties if missed.

We take all of that off your plate. Laura and Emma provide straightforward limited company accounting support that keeps your business compliant throughout the year, not just at year end. We also help you understand your finances clearly, so you know exactly where your company stands at any point.

If you are considering moving from sole trader to limited company, or you want to make sure your existing limited company is structured as tax-efficiently as possible, we can help you work through that too.

WE SUPPORT WITH:

Making Tax Digital for Sole Traders

Making Tax Digital for Income Tax is not coming. It is here. From April 2026, sole traders and landlords with qualifying income over £50,000 are required to submit quarterly digital updates to HMRC. One Self Assessment a year is no longer sufficient if you are in scope.

The threshold drops to £30,000 from April 2027. If you are approaching that figure, or if you are already above £50,000 and have not yet set up compliant software, now is the time to act.

We help sole traders and landlords understand exactly what Making Tax Digital means for their business, get set up on the right approved software, and manage the quarterly submission process correctly. Our aim is to make the transition as straightforward as possible, with no confusion and no missed deadlines.

OUR SUPPORT INCLUDES:

Sole Trader Accounting

Being self-employed means you are responsible for your own tax. There is no employer taking care of it for you. From the moment you register as a sole trader, HMRC expects a Self Assessment return every year, and they expect you to have tracked your income and expenses accurately throughout.

We work with sole traders across Glasgow and across the UK, providing straightforward accounting support that takes the complicated parts off your plate. Whether you are filing your first Self Assessment, trying to make sense of what you can claim as an expense, or planning ahead for a larger tax bill, we can help.

Our approach is simple. We explain things clearly, we keep you on top of your deadlines, and we make sure you are not paying more tax than you need to. If you have been managing your own accounts and are not sure whether you have been missing anything, a free consultation is a good place to start.

WE HELP WITH:

Start-Up Business Support

Starting a business is exciting. The financial side does not have to be the part that slows you down. Getting the right foundations in place from day one the right business structure, the right software, the right record-keeping habits makes everything significantly simpler as your business grows.

We work with people at the very start of their business journey. Whether you have just registered as a sole trader or you are considering incorporating as a limited company, we can help you understand which structure makes the most sense for your situation, get you properly registered, and set everything up correctly from the beginning.

A common mistake is waiting until the first tax return arrives to get financial support. By then, records are often incomplete, expenses have been missed, and the process takes longer than it should. Getting support early means fewer headaches later, and you can focus on actually building your business.

OUR START-UP SUPPORT INCLUDES:

Landlord Services

Owning rental property comes with its own set of financial and tax obligations, and they can become complex quickly. Rental income must be declared. Allowable expenses must be tracked. If you also have employment or self-employment income, everything must be reported correctly together on your Self Assessment.

We help landlords across Glasgow and the UK manage their property finances clearly and without unnecessary complication. From keeping your rental accounts organised throughout the year to filing your Self Assessment correctly, we handle the detail so you can focus on managing your properties.

If you have multiple properties, or if your rental income is approaching the Making Tax Digital threshold, it is worth getting proper support now rather than waiting until it becomes a problem. The rules around mortgage interest relief have also changed in recent years, which affects how much landlords can deduct and how tax is calculated this is something we help every landlord client understand clearly.

WE SUPPORT LANDLORDS WITH:
